Thornhill Houses
Thornhill is a community in the Greater Toronto area in the South of Ontario. It was once a village but now it’s a community divided into two geographical regions that is, Vaughn which is in the west of Yonge and Markham in the east of Yonge street. The Community has experienced growth due to its location on Yonge street which is a major transportation route. It is governed by Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the head of state of Canada. It has higher winter temperatures and is quite warm in summer.
The city has a diverse community but mainly inhabited by the jewish community. The main one being the orthodox jews. Apart from the jews it is also occupied by Asians, blacks, Chinese, Koreans, and Filipinos. This makes it very cosmopolitan with very many different dialects.
This being a community neighboring Toronto, it has a number of tourist attractions. This is also aided by the fact that it is only 90 minutes away from Queen Elizabeth way. It is situated near lake Ontario. The lake prevents the winters from being very severe. There are several places one can tour while in Ontario. This depends on ones preference. It is filled with galleries, restaurants, museums, music halls, sports facilities and not to forget the beautiful lake, Lake Ontario. The lake provides facilities like boat rides, marinas and there is also a beach on the waterfront. The Thornhill golf club is also a place commonly visited especially by golf fanatics. It is highly rated hence the most popular in that region.
The children are not forgotten when it comes to recreation, there is a special place known as the Toronto Zoo just for kids. If traveling with the family the Amusement parks are totally awesome and cater for all ages. Paramount Amusement and Wild Water Kingdom are places to visit.
Recreation is not only limited to the above. There are paths for hiking, riding bicycles, swimming facilities are also present including ice skating during the winter. There are also public packs and woodland nature in case one wants to take a stroll. Places to stay include beach houses on the lake front, apartments to rent, Luxurious town houses in Niagara, cabins like the Sand lake Sunset cabin and also beautiful cottages.
